Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Education Minister Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury urged Shirin Akhtar to take strict action.
The public relations officer of the Ministry of Education gave this information on Saturday.
The education minister also requested the university administration to take academic and administrative action against those involved in violence earlier and law enforcement agencies to take action as per criminal law.
Besides, he urged to ensure a safe campus for the students by taking strict measures to ensure that the non-students staying in the university leave the hall.
The Education Minister called upon the university administration to be aware that no responsible person gets exonerated by using the name of a political figure. The minister asked to take the cooperation of university teachers and local law enforcement agencies in taking action against those involved.
Chabi vice chancellor Shireen Akhtar has called a law and order meeting tomorrow Sunday (February 18) after such a call from the education minister. He instructed University Registrar KM Noor Ahmad to convene the meeting at around 11 o’clock
