Railways need smart and skilled manpower: Railway Minister

 

Railway Minister Md. Zillul Hakim said that smart and skilled manpower is also needed in railways for smart Bangladesh. Training arrangements will be made to fill up the vacancies very soon.

He said these things after visiting the Sayedpur Railway Factory of Nilphamari, the largest of the country, at 11 o’clock on Saturday.

Md. Zillul Hakim said, many railway lands have become barren. Miscreants are involved in this work. The government is taking steps to modernize the railway factory by freeing these lands from encroachment.

He said that the manpower in Syedpur railway factory is decreasing day by day. Currently 860 people are working as against 2859 manpower. We are trying very sincerely to solve the problems of railways quickly.

The railway minister said that railways have progressed a lot in the world. We have to keep pace with that rhythm and move forward. Railways should be made passenger friendly by establishing new railway tracks and increasing the quality of service.
