Two-day program of Awami League on International Mother Language Day

Amar Ekushe February Great Martyr’s Day and International Mother Language Day. The ruling party Awami League has undertaken a two-day program on the occasion of the blood-stained day.
The program was announced in a circular sent by Awami League secretary Biplab Barua on Monday (February 19).
The program includes wreath-laying at the Central Shaheed Minar at 11:00 on Wednesday (after the President and Prime Minister pay their respects). At 6:30 in the morning, national and party flags will be half-masted and black flags will be hoisted at the party’s central office, Bangabandhu Bhavan and all the branch offices of the organization across the country.

On this day at 7 a.m. holding the black badge, offering wreaths and paying respects at the graves of Bhasha Shaheeds and Central Shaheed Minar at Azimpur Cemetery along with the morning ferry. (Dawn ferry will start from South Gate of New Market). A discussion meeting of Awami League will be held on the occasion of Great Martyrs’ Day and International Mother Language Day at Dhaka District Awami League Bhawan in Tejgaon on Thursday at 3 pm. It will be chaired by Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader in a statement called on all levels of leaders, workers, supporters and people of all levels of the party and its affiliated organizations to take the program consistent with the central program of Awami League on the occasion of Great Martyrs’ Day and International Mother Language Day.
