Bashundhara MD received lifetime honor

Sayem Sobhan Anveer, Managing Director (MD) of Bashundhara Group has received the Global Brands ‘Trab Smart Performance Award-2024’ for his outstanding contribution to the housing and jewelery industry.

Television Reporters Unity of Bangladesh (TRAB) presented the award at a discussion and cultural event titled ‘International Mother Language Day and Smart Bangladesh’ at a hotel in the capital on Wednesday. Imdadul Haque Milon, director of East West Media Group and editor-in-chief of Kaler Kantha, accepted the award on behalf of Bashundhara Group MD. Lands Minister Narayan Chandra Chand was the chief guest.

Rezwana Chowdhury Banya, an eminent Rabindra singer for his contribution to music, Ahsan Ullah Moni, a freedom fighter, for his contribution to culture, Mohiuddin Maharaj, Member of Parliament of Pirojpur-2 constituency, for human welfare, Abu Hena Morshed Zaman for his poetry, Kana Reza, the owner of Pan-Supari, for his contribution in various sectors including successful entrepreneur. Land Minister Narayan Chandra Chand said that the fight for the mother tongue is related to the liberation war. Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman started the movement for mother tongue. The reason mother tongue is going international is because it is a basic human right. The Father of the Nation also mentions it in the Constitution. Attempts were made to take away that language. We will have relations with all languages ​​and cultures at the international level. But one’s own language and culture cannot be forgotten.
