Government not indifferent to market regulation: Obaidul Quader

Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that the government is not indifferent to market control even if the prices of some products go up and down. He said that the government is making all efforts to control commodity prices. Hope the prices will come under control soon.
He said these things at a press conference at Awami League president Sheikh Hasina’s political office in Dhanmondi, capital, on Monday (February 19).
Obaidul Quader said that BNP’s questioning of Awami League about the independence, democracy and sovereignty of the country is nothing but the delusion of a madman. BNP politics is always based on lies. There is nothing in them to play the role of BNP or the opposition except for the cleverness of words.
Obaidul Quader said in response to Donald Lew’s question about Bangladesh’s border due to internal unrest in the neighboring country Myanmar, Bangladesh is very careful about border security. Bangladesh is alert to face any situation.
Commenting that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s participation in the security conference in Munich, Germany, is a great honor for Bangladesh, Awami League General Secretary said that Sheikh Hasina’s speech in Munich to stop the genocide in Palestine’s Gaza symbolizes the determination of Bangabandhu’s daughter.
In response to a question, he said that the meeting of the Prime Minister of Bangladesh with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky had no impact on the historical relations with Russia. The position of the Russian Embassy in Bangladesh is very positive in this regard.
When asked about the recent political conflict in the Jatiya Party, Obaidul Quader said that it is an internal matter of the Jatiya Party. This will not affect the position of the opposition party in the parliament.
