Madrasa student’s body recovered after 3 days of disappearance

The body of a madrasa student who went missing while taking a bath in Meghna river in Hijla upazila of Barisal has been recovered. The body was found floating in the river on Saturday (February 17) morning and was recovered. Inspector of Hijla Naval Police. Tariqul Islam confirmed this.

Hijla Naval Police Inspector Tariqul Islam said Sabbir had come to visit his aunt’s house in Barajalia village of Hijla upazila. On February 14, around 1:30 p.m., he went to take a bath in the Meghna river with his maternal uncle Nashiruddin, a resident of Keraniganj. Sabbir drowned in the river because he did not know how to swim.

Sabbir’s Khalu Abul Kalam said that Sabbir’s village house is in Charhogla village of Mehendiganj upazila. But he lived in Hazaribagh area of ​​Dhaka since childhood. His father is a rickshaw puller. After becoming Hafez, Sabbir taught in the same madrasa along with his studies.
