Bangladeshi actress Ajmeri Haque Bandhan has been invited to be the official jury of the 15th Bangalore International Film Festival organized by the Karnataka Film Academy of India. Even though the festival started on February 29, the actress known as ‘Rehana Maryam Noor’ could not attend the festival due to visa complications.
However, Bandhan hopes that he will receive the visa by noon today (Sunday). Bandhan said that the Indian Embassy has been contacted by the organizers.
Ajmeri Haque Bandhan said, “I hope that I will get the visa by noon today. Maybe I can join the festival from tomorrow Monday. The organizers are in regular contact with me. They are also talking to the embassy. They have still booked hotels and plane tickets for me.
He further said, ‘It is the official film festival of a state in India. The government of that country is doing all the arrangements. I don’t have to do anything. The festival will continue till March 7. Hopefully, I will get a chance to reach there before that.
