Prime Minister’s condolence over Bailey Road fire

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the fire incident in the commercial building on Bailey Road in the capital.

This information was informed in a press release from the Prime Minister’s Press Wing on Friday (March 1).

It was informed that the Prime Minister prayed for the salvation of the souls of those who died in the fire and expressed his condolences to their bereaved family members and gave immediate instructions to the concerned authorities to provide immediate treatment to the injured.

The condolence message also informed that the Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to all those involved in quickly controlling the fire.

45 people died in this terrible fire. It has been possible to identify the bodies of 39 people till 9:30 am. The bodies of 25 of those who died in the incident have already been handed over.

It is to be noted that on Thursday (February 29) at 9:50 PM, the fire service received information about a fire in a multi-storied building on Bailey Road in the capital.
