Many hawks have their eyes on Bay of Bengal-St Martin: Obaidul Quader

General Secretary of Awami League and Minister of Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader said that many hawks have their eyes on the Bay of Bengal and Saint Martin. But the balanced diplomacy of Sheikh Hasina’s government has led (us) to success.

He said this at the party’s joint meeting held at the central office of Awami League. He said, due to the geopolitical location of Bangladesh, it is a fertile ground for many to enmity towards us.

In his opening speech at the meeting, Obaidul Quader said about the presence of Bangladesh in the security conference in Germany, Bangabandhu’s daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has brought great honor to the country by participating in this conference. Today the democratic world has unhesitatingly accepted the importance of Bangladesh.

At this time, he said to the BNP leaders and workers, prepare for the next election without thinking about the next movement.

BNP will protest till victory – Regarding the statement of BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Obaidul Quader said that Mirza Fakhrul Sahib has been daydreaming after coming out of jail. When the government of the people is in power, the material conditions of the movement cannot be found. BNP should feel it in its bones.

At this time, party president Obaidul Quader instructed the departmental officials to resolve the internal disputes including the formation of the expired committee of the party. He said that it is important to solve the organizational problems including expired conferences of various branches, unfinished conferences of all affiliated organizations, delay in the committee formation process. Departmental in-charges can call all the branches in Dhaka.

The Awami League president ordered to start work immediately to solve the problems and disputes
