Drugs are being sent from Myanmar to Bangladesh: RAB DG

RAB Director General (DG) M Khurshid Hossain said, drug control is now a big challenge. This is the biggest business in the country, the get rich overnight business. Drugs are being systematically sent to Bangladesh by air and sea from Myanmar. The Myanmar route will be closed at any cost.

He said these things at the reception and scholarship ceremony of the students of MA Khalek Degree College of Kashiani Upazila of Gopalganj on Saturday.

RAB DG said, it is not possible for a single force to eradicate drugs. In order to eradicate drugs, conscious citizens, public representatives and all should build a social movement together.

He also said that to save the new generation, we must keep them away from drugs. If drugs reach them, the whole nation will be destroyed. Myanmar has also made this plan. Yaba, ice and various drugs are being smuggled into this country from Myanmar. Social movement and all out action should be taken to control drugs. Godfathers, gangs of teenagers will not be spared.

M Khurshid Hossain said, Myanmar is now working on implementation for political purposes. Rohingyas are inciting political incitement. Myanmar’s military government is at war with the Arakan Army. On that occasion they want to make trouble with us and loot the profit. Myanmar is unable to succeed because of the strong attitude of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Acting Deputy Commissioner of Gopalganj Azaharul Islam, District Education Officer Salim Talukder, Superintendent of Police (Operation) Kazi Mahabubul Alam, RAB-6 Commander Lt. Col. Feroz Kabir, MA Khalek Degree College Principal KM Mahabub and others were present.
