Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumdar said that consumers should be careful along with the administration to prevent manipulation of the prices of daily commodities by dishonest traders in the coming Ramadan.
He said this at the distribution ceremony of the checks received from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s relief and welfare fund at the Porsha Upazila Parishad auditorium in Naogaon on Saturday.
The food minister said that they wanted to play a cycle by increasing the price of rice after the election. We were able to suppress their game strongly. Administratively we resisted their plot. The rice market has now stabilized.
He also said that people of the country get the help provided by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina regardless of party affiliation. Many have received Prime Minister’s Relief and Welfare Fund cheques. Everyone should stand by the Prime Minister.
