The admission test of Arts, Law and Social Science Unit of Undergraduate Program of Dhaka University for the academic year 2023-2024 has been held.
The one-and-a-half-hour exam will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday (February 23) and will last until 12:30 p.m. To ease the suffering of students and parents, this admission test has been held on the Dhaka University campus and in the other 7 divisional cities of the country this year as well.
This year, 1 lakh 12 thousand 278 candidates participated in the examination against 2 thousand 934 seats in Arts, Law, and Social Science units.
The chief coordinator of the Dhaka University admissions committee and the dean of the social science faculty of the university. Zia Rahman said that the examination has been successfully completed at each center. So far we have not received any complaints. The admissions test was completed in a very smooth process.
University proctor professor Dr. Maksudur Rahman said that this time the admissions test is a little different from every other time. Every year, many people take exams from prison or medical school, so we have to go through an extra hassle. That did not happen this time. Everyone passed the exam healthy and normal.
Meanwhile, Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. ASM Maksud Kamal, Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Samad, Vice-Chancellor (Education) Professor Dr. Sitesh Chandra Bachar, Treasurer Prof. Mumtaz Uddin Ahmed, ‘Arts, Law, and Social Science’ Unit Admission Test Coordinator and Dean of Faculty of Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Zia Rahman and Dhaka University Teachers Association President Prof. Dr. Md. Nizamul Haque Bhuiyan and others concerned visited the entrance examination center of Social Science Building.
After visiting the admission test center, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. ASM Maqsood Kamal expressed satisfaction that the admission test was organized and conducted in a fair and peaceful manner. He said that 1 lakh 12 thousand 278 candidates participated in this admission test against 2 thousand 934 seats in public universities of other 7 divisional cities of the country including Dhaka. This admission test was conducted in a transparent and orderly manner following the rules properly. The Vice-Chancellor urged the parents, examinees and law enforcement agencies to exercise utmost vigilance and awareness regarding any fraudsters.
