Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan is spending his life in a Pakistani jail in multiple corruption cases. Party senator Faisal Javed said he will contest the election from jail. He announced this in an interview to the Pakistani media on Monday (February 19)
Faisal Javed said that party chief Imran Khan will contest the election from Mianwali. God willing he will be the Prime Minister of Pakistan again. Voter turnout in the February 8 election was ‘unprecedented’ in the country’s history.
He said that there has been massive rigging in the elections. And accepting his responsibility, an election officer of Pakistan has resigned. He claimed that this rigging was done to stop Imran Khan.
Faisal Javed said that the decision taken by the Election Commission to cancel the two nominations of Imran Khan on the charges of corruption will not be successful in the coming days. Imran Khan will become the Prime Minister of Pakistan after winning from Mianwali constituency.
Incidentally, last year on May 9 last year, Imran Khan’s arrest protested in Pakistan. There were incidents of vandalism and arson of government properties in several areas of the country. Imran’s supporters attacked the army headquarters. Senior PTI leader Faisal Javed was accused of supporting the attack. Since then he went into hiding. The PTI leader appeared in a case related to this on February 19.
Another PTI leader, Omar Ayub, opened his mouth last Sunday about the verdict given by the people of Pakistan in the general election. He said in Islamabad that this verdict is in support of Imran. And he called upon the political parties to accept it. According to him, three crore Pakistani voters voted for Imran Khan in the election. They have accepted him as the Prime Minister.
