State Commerce Minister Ahsanul Islam Titu said the price of sugar had been increased by mistake. He lowered the prices out of consideration for the common people during Ramadan. TCB sells sugar at Tk 70 per kg.
The state commerce minister said this in his guest speech at the TCB Product Sales Program held in Dhaka today, Thursday (March 7).
Stating that there will be no shortage of sugar in the market considering the amount of sugar stored in the country, the Deputy Minister said that one billion people will be provided with daily necessities every month through TCB. Customers using TCB services will be issued with a digital card after their details are re-verified.
The Deputy Minister also said that he will designate TCB dealers to reduce the pain of customers when purchasing TCB products
