Vikarun nisa’s teacher Murad is on remand for two days

The court has granted a two-day remand to Murad Hossain Sarkar, a senior teacher of Azimpur branch of Vikarunnisa Noon School and College, in a case of sexual harassment.
On Tuesday (February 27), the police produced Murad in the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court of Dhaka. After that, the investigating officer of the case, SI Fayyaz Hossain of Lalbagh police station applied for a seven-day remand for questioning him in the interest of fair investigation of the case. After the hearing, the Metropolitan Magistrate Zaki-al-Farabi ordered the remand.
On February 24, the senior teacher Murad Hossain Sarkar of the day branch of the Azimpur campus in Vikarunnisa was recalled and attached to the principal’s office on the charge of sexual harassment of female students. Then on February 26, he was arrested from his house in Kala Bagan in the capital. Later that night, in an emergency meeting of the governing body of Vikarunnisa School, it was decided to temporarily suspend teacher Murad Hossain Sarkar. Angry students and parents claim that the accused Murad Hossain has been sexually harassing female students in the name of coaching for a long time. A victim of this allegation filed a case against the teacher Murad Hossain as a plaintiff.
