Metrorail services are temporarily suspended due to mechanical issues.
This incident happened on Saturday (February 17) around 3:30 pm. Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (BMTCL) authorities have confirmed this.
Earlier on Wednesday (February 14) at Kazipara in Mirpur, the movement of trains from Motijheel to Uttara was stopped due to a kite getting stuck in the metro rail wire.
After being closed for an hour, the metro movement started.
MAN Siddique, managing director of the Metrorail managing company Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited, told the media that the service was stopped due to a kite getting entangled in the metro wire in Sheorapara or Kazipara area. After solving the problem, movement started.
