Inspector General of Police, Bangladesh Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun BPM (Bar), PPM has called upon the promoted Additional IGPs to work unitedly to tackle any crisis in the nation.
IGP Sir Tuesday afternoon (February 20, 2024)The call was made by the chief guest at the rank badge decoration ceremony of the officers who have been promoted to the post of Additional IGP from the DIG in the Hall of Pride of the Police Headquarters.
Bangladesh Police Women Welfare Association (PUNAK) president Dr. was the special guest in the event. Taiba Musarrat Janha Chowdhury. Additional IGPs of Bangladesh Police and their spouses were present on the occasion.
As per the custom of Bangladesh Police, the promoted additional IGPs are given rank badges by the IGP and the spouses of the promoted officers.
Paying deep respect to Bangabandhu, the IGP said at the beginning of his speech that the police formed the first armed resistance against the Pakistani invading forces in response to the call of Bangabandhu. He said that under the leadership of the honorable Prime Minister, Bangladesh Police has been able to deal with militancy and terrorism. The police is capable of facing any challenges related to law and order in the future as well.
Congratulating the promoted officers, IGP said, this promotion is recognition of your efficiency.
The promoted officers expressed their commitment to provide maximum service to the people in the spirit of liberation war.
It should be noted that the government has recently promoted 14 officers of Bangladesh Police to the post of Additional IGP
