Dhaka-Chittagong highway will be closed for two days and two and a half hours

 

The Directorate of Roads and Public Ways (SOAZ) has decided to close the Dhaka-Chittagong highway for 5 hours. Authorities have decided to close the road for 5 hours for construction work and shifting of gantry at Pakka road head area in Salimpur Union of Sitakunda part of Chittagong highway.

On Tuesday and Wednesday (February 13 and 14), the road will be closed for a total of two and a half hours from 5 am to 7:30 am every day.

In this regard, Chittagong District Road Division Executive Engineer Pintu Chakma told the media that the Dhaka-Chittagong highway will be closed to avoid any kind of accident during the under-construction U-turn work and gantry transfer. A letter has already been sent to the concerned departments in this regard. We apologize to the public and passengers for this temporary inconvenience.
