Minister of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives (LGRD). Tajul Islam said that in order to build a developed and smart Bangladesh by 2041, today’s children and teenagers must be prepared appropriately.
Mentioning that we have to convey the ideals of Sheikh Russell and the Father of the Nation to the children and teenagers, he said that the environment should be created so that today’s children grow up to be ideal citizens.
This was said by the LGRD minister at the 36th founding anniversary of the Sheikh Russell National Youth Council at Dhanmondi in the capital on the occasion of a rally, gathering of children and teenagers, placing wreaths on Bangabandhu’s portrait and visiting the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum.
Md. Tajul Islam said, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has created a road map for a developed and smart Bangladesh by 2041. In order to become a suitable citizen, children and teenagers should follow the ideals of the father of the nation from now on.
Urging everyone to work unitedly for the purpose of building a better Bangladesh, he said, it will be easy for us to achieve that goal only if children and teenagers are educated and enriched in knowledge and science.
Calling on everyone to be aware to protect the society from the grip of drugs and corruption, the minister said, it is possible to free the society from many degradations only if children and teenagers can be raised morally.
Later, the Minister visited the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi 32 with the children and signed the visit book
