An examinee got a call for Viva after 13 years of giving BCS exam. His name is Devdas Biswas. In 2009 he applied for 29th BCS. He also passed the written test.
But in 2010, his oral exam was canceled because he did not bring the receipt of deposit during the oral exam. He wrote a writ in the court in 2011. After a long legal battle of 13 years, he got a call for the Public Service Commission (PSC) oral examination.
A PSC notification on Thursday (February 15) said that in view of the High Court’s verdict, the oral examination of candidate Devdas Biswas (registration number 001575) who passed the written examination of the 29th BCS will be held on February 25. Devdas Biswas’s oral examination will be conducted at PSC head office at Agargaon in the capital that day at 11:00 am.
Devdas Biswas has been requested to appear in the oral examination board on the scheduled date and time along with the interview letter sent by the commission and the documents mentioned in the interview letter. If he does not appear in the oral examination board on the scheduled date and time, his oral examination will not be accepted and his candidature will be cancelled.
In this context, PSC Controller of Examinations (Cadre) Anand Kumar Biswas told the media that when the 29th BCS candidate Devdas Biswas took the oral examination, there was a rule to bring the receipt of depositing money to the oral examination board. But Devdas Biswas was disqualified for not bringing the receipt. He filed a writ in court. Now after receiving the copy of the final judgment of the court, he has been called again for oral examination.
