A young man named Sajib (20) died after being hit by an oil-carrying train in Kamarkhand, Sirajganj. The incident took place at Kamarkhand upazila Koilgaanti railway crossing on Monday (February 26) around 4 pm.
The deceased Karnasuti is the son of Majid Sarkar of Madhyapara village.
Eyewitnesses said that the young man was walking on the railway track after consuming drugs. At that time, he was hit on the head by an oil train leaving from Parvatipur and fell on the side of the railway line. Later, the locals rescued him and took him to the Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
Station Master Abu Hannan of Jamoil Railway Station in Kamarkhand Upazila confirmed the matter.
