17 districts of the country, including Dhaka, may experience a storm with a maximum speed of 60 km by noon. Along with that, rain with thunder is expected.
This information was given in a forecast of the Department of Meteorology for the inland river ports of the country till 1 pm on Friday (February 23).
Meteorologist Md. A notification signed by Shahinul Islam said, West or North-West over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogra, Tangail, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Faridpur, Jessore, Kushtia, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Neyakhali, Comilla, Chittagong and Sylhet districts. Temporarily gusty or gusty winds of 45 to 60 km per hour may occur from the direction. At this time there may be rain or thunder.
Therefore, the river ports of these areas have been asked to show warning signal number 1.
Meanwhile, another weather bulletin said that rain or thundershowers with gusty winds may occur temporarily in some places of Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and two or more places in Rangpur and Barisal divisions till evening.
This trend of rainfall may continue till Saturday (February 24) evening at some places. Apart from this, rain with gusty wind or rain with thunder may occur temporarily in one or two places of Chittagong and Sylhet divisions till Saturday evening. Since then there is no forecast of rain for the next few days.
