A foreign worker was killed and seven others injured in a missile attack in northern Israel on Monday. It was the latest casualty in months of hostilities along the Lebanese border. AFP reported this information, citing doctors.
The Magen David Adom emergency response service said in a statement that the foreign workers were working in the garden when the anti-tank missile hit it.
One person was killed, and at least seven others were injured.
The statement identified all the injured as Indian men between the ages of 30 and 39. However, the nationality of the deceased was not mentioned.
The Israeli military, on the other hand, said that several civilians were wounded and sent to hospitals in the attack from Lebanon.
The attack took place near Margaliot, a small farming community on the border. They also said they hit a missile launch site in Lebanon in response to the attack.
The Israeli military and Lebanese groups have clashed daily since fighting between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip began on October 7, AFP said.
Fighting on the Israel-Lebanon border has displaced tens of thousands of people on both sides and killed at least 296 people in Lebanon, most of them Hezbollah fighters, according to the agency’s estimates.
46 civilians are also included in this figure. In addition, 10 soldiers and seven civilians were killed in Israel.
