The Prime Minister of Palestine resigned

Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shatayeh has announced his resignation amid rising violence in the occupied West Bank and the Gaza war. He submitted his resignation to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.
Al Jazeera reported that he submitted his resignation to President Mahmoud Abbas on Monday (February 26).
The reasons given are the unprecedented growth in the West Bank and Jerusalem and the death toll of war, genocide and starvation in the Gaza Strip. That is why the decision to resign has been taken.
He said the next phase of the Israeli genocide in Palestine and its challenges required new governmental and political arrangements. There is a need for a Palestinian-Palestinian consensus based on the new realities of Gaza and based on Palestinian unity. Besides, he also commented that the expansion of the unity of authority in the land of Palestine is necessary.
