5 US soldiers killed in helicopter crash

Five US Marines have been killed in a helicopter crash in California. The carrier helicopter disappeared.

Soldiers were flying from Nevada Creek Airfield to Marine Corps Air Station Miramar on Tuesday in a CH-53E Super Stallone helicopter. The helicopter crashed on the way. The Marine Corps confirmed their deaths on Thursday (February 8). Michael Borgskachal, commander of the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, in a statement.

Five soldiers were killed. The bodies of the dead soldiers have not yet been recovered. However, all kinds of efforts are being made to rescue them. President Joe Biden said that he was “shocked” after hearing the news of the deaths of the soldiers. “My deepest condolences to their families, the squadron, and the Marine Corps,” he said in the statement. We are saddened by the loss of five of our best fighters. The US military has suffered several helicopter and plane crashes in the past few years. In November last year, a small military plane crashed in Japan, killing eight soldiers. That same month, five people were killed when a helicopter crashed during an exercise in the Mediterranean. On the other hand, three soldiers lost their lives in another helicopter crash in Australia in August.
