Returning officer Muniruzzaman Talukder has declared all the nominations submitted to the 50 reserved seats for women in the 12th National Assembly as valid.
This announcement was made on Monday (February 19) morning at the Agargaon election building after checking the presence of the candidates.
Returning Officer of the Election Commission and Joint Secretary of the Commission. Moniruzzaman Talukder said, even if no one’s name is omitted in the selection, anyone can appeal against the valid nomination paper. And according to the schedule announced, February 24 has been fixed for disposal of the appeal.
February 25 is the last day to return nomination papers. After that, if no one withdraws the nomination papers, the valid candidates will be declared elected unopposed.
