Akhilesh left the Trinamool seat in Uttar Pradesh!

Despite the antagonism in Bengal, the opposition alliance ‘India’ gradually created signs of unity in Uttar Pradesh. The main opposition party in the state and its ally, the Samajwadi Party (SP) of India, also gave up a seat there to the Trinamool. On Friday, March 15, the candidate’s name and center were announced by Trinamool.

Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav had earlier left the Congress for 17 of the total 80 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh. He also said that the remaining 63 seats will be contested by the SP and other allies. Part of the seat sharing of Akhilesh’s party has also come to the Trinamool.

Akhilesh’s SP left Uttar Pradesh’s Vadohi Lok Sabha constituency for the Trinamool after releasing its third Lok Sabha candidate list on Friday. A few hours later, Trinamool issued a press statement saying that their candidate, Laliteshpati Tripathi, will contest from Vadohi in Uttar Pradesh.

It should be noted that this Laliteshpati came to Kolkata on January 10. He also participated in the Trinamool rally in Brigade. He was also seen talking to Trinamool leader Mamata Banerjee on the Brigade stage. He is the son of a traditional political family in Uttar Pradesh. His paternal grandfather was the former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Kamalapati Tripathi. He is currently a member of the Trinamool Congress but was earlier in the Congress. He was also known to be close to Priyanka Gandhi in political circles. He also has a good relationship with Akhilesh Yadav.

In 2012, Lalitesh became MLA from the Madihan assembly constituency in Uttar Pradesh on a Congress ticket. But in 2019, he lost as a candidate for the Lok Sabha polls. Later, he left Congress and joined Trinamool in October 2021, complaining of negligence. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata herself gave him Trinamool membership.

Trinamool, which is contesting Lok Sabha elections from Vadohi in Uttar Pradesh, first came into existence as a Lok Sabha constituency in 2009. Mayawati’s party, the Bahujan Samaj Party, was the first to win the seat. Since then, the BJP has won this Lok Sabha seat for two consecutive years. Oh, this seat in T24 will be booked this time.
