The President urged the investors in Spain to invest in various sectors, including the Special Economic Zone of Bangladesh President
He made this call when Gabriel Maria Cistiaga Ochoa de Chinchetru, Ambassador of Spain appointed to Bangladesh, presented his credentials to the President at Bangabhaban on Tuesday (February 20).
The president’s press secretary, Zainal Abedin, said in a briefing that while praising the Spanish investment in Bangladesh, the president said that Spain is one of the exporting countries of Bangladesh. The existing bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Spain are very good and progressive. President Sahabuddin hopes that the mutual relations between the two countries will expand in various sectors during the tenure of the new ambassador to Spain.
The ambassador of Spain said that the development and progress of Bangladesh are very commendable. He expressed his conviction to further strengthen the existing relationship between Spain and Bangladesh. The ambassador sought the full cooperation of the president in the discharge of his duties.
Earlier, as part of the ceremony, a cavalry contingent of the PGR was given a ‘guard of honor’ at the embassy. The secretaries of the president were present at the time.
