The High Court has formed a new committee to investigate the death of baby Ayan Ahmed while teaching circumcision at the United Medical College Hospital. As the report of the health department was not accepted, the court appointed a new committee.
Tuesday (February 20) Justice Mustafa Zaman Islam and Justice Md. The High Court bench of Atabullah gave this order.
The court said, we are not satisfied with the report of the Health Department committee. We are making a new committee of five members.
The committee consists of three doctors, two civil society persons and a university professor. The committee will investigate the entire incident of Ayan’s death and submit a report to the court within a month.
