Popular actor Ahmed Rubel is no more. He reportedly passed away on Wednesday evening (innalillahi wainna ilahi rajiun). The news of his death was confirmed to Bangladesh Pratidin by Ahsan Habib Nasim, President of Abhinaya Shilpi Sangh.
He said, “Ahmed Rubel died suddenly this evening, just before going to attend his photo exhibition.”
Earlier, producer Nurul Alam Atiq told the media, “Today evening there was a special screening of my new movie, ‘Guava’. Just before going to the cinema to join this exhibition, Ahmed Rubel fell ill. Later, when he was taken to a private hospital in the capital, the doctor on duty declared him dead.
