Wetlands to be mapped in a year: Environment Minister

Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Saber Hossain Chowdhury said international cooperation is needed to conserve tigers for a sustainable future. The Minister of Environment said this in his opening speech at an event organized by the Catosphere Foundation of the Saudi government on the occasion of International Arabian Leopard Day celebration at Madani Avenue in Dhaka on Saturday (February 10).
The Environment Minister said, we should remember that the fight to save all endangered species is a reflection of our values ​​as a global community. It is a measure of our willingness to work for the collective good of our planet. Let us carry forward the spirit of Catwalk as a continuous, permanent commitment to conservation and harmony between humanity and nature. Saber Hossain Chowdhury said, Saudi Arabia’s initiative to organize ‘Catwalk’ is a celebration of life, a call to action.
On the occasion of International Arabian Leopard Day, the Saudi Embassy in Dhaka organized a special walk program to create awareness about the protection of the animal. Where diplomats, ministers and invited guests walk from 700 meters to 7 kilometers. Later, the Environment Minister and the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia distributed the prizes and certificates to the winners.
