Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal said, we have always talked about participatory (twelfth parliament) elections. I said in the last speech to the nation that time is not over for BNP. Talked on the phone, called with DO letter. Did not respond to the call.
He said these things at a function organized in the meeting room of the Election Commission (EC) building on Tuesday. Reporters Forum for Elections and Democracy (RFED) organized the event.
Kazi Habibul Awal said that the election is not invalid if the major parties do not participate. There are many elections ahead. There is no opportunity to underestimate them.
He said that media should play a brave role. This is the role of media. Criticism cannot be discounted.
Other election commissioners, EC secretaries, leaders of RFED and general members were present in the function organized by RFED.
