The Foreign Minister of Ghana is in Dhaka on a three-day visit.

Ghanaian Foreign Minister Shirley Aykar Buchway has arrived in Dhaka on a three-day visit. On Monday (February 19), the Foreign Minister of Ghana arrived in Dhaka with a delegation and was welcomed by the Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, AFM Zahid-ul Islam, at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that on the first day of the visit, Ghana’s Foreign Minister Shirley Aykar Buchway visited the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Memorial Museum at 32 Naswar in Dhanmondi and paid respect to Bangabandhu’s portrait. On the second day of the trip, on Tuesday (February 20) in the morning, Foreign Minister Dr. Shirley will have a bilateral meeting with Hasan Mahmud.

Besides, there is a possibility of a courtesy meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. On the last day of the trip, next Wednesday (February 21), the Foreign Minister of Ghana will pay respects at the Shaheed Minar along with the diplomats serving in various missions in Dhaka on International Mother Language Day. Ghana’s Shirley Aykar Buchway will leave Dhaka with the delegation after the tour that day.
