Chittagong fire took a terrible shape, 18 units are working

A fire at a sugar mill (sugar factory) in Chittagong’s Karnaphuli has taken a dire shape. 18 units of fire service are struggling to control the fire. The fire could not be brought under control despite two and a half hours of efforts.

The fire started at that mill around 4 pm on Monday (March 4). The fire was burning till the report was written. Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard have joined the fire control.

According to mill officials, the fire started in one of the six godowns of the sugar mill. Imported raw sugar was stored there. They fear that the fire may spread to other godowns due to the increase in intensity of the fire.

Meanwhile, Agrabad control room sources of the fire service said that a fire broke out in the godown of the sugar mill in Ichanagar area under Karnaphuli police station around 4 pm. Karnaphuli and Anwara fire stations are working to douse the fire after receiving the information.

Apart from this, the Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard have already joined the fire control
