Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Saber Hossain Chowdhury said that all development partners should come on one platform to prevent the division of resources on issues related to climate change and sustainable development.
To maximize the use of resources, duplication and overlapping need to be reduced, he said. With the numerous challenges and existential threats posed by climate change, resource protection is essential for financial and capacity building.
The Environment Minister said these things at the Country Environmental Analysis 2023: Building Back a Greener Bangladesh Building Workshop organized at the Intercontinental Hotel in Dhaka on Thursday.
He said the country’s health is paramount and the government is committed to improving air and water quality. Priority interventions for climate action are being sequenced and governments are actively developing a time-bound plan.
He said necessary policy adjustments will be made to meet the emerging needs.
Key findings of the Country Environmental Analysis 2023 report were presented and discussed at the workshop, looking at challenges and opportunities in advancing environmental conservation efforts.
