Inspector General of Police, Bangladesh Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun BPM (Bar), issued a warning against PPM extortionists, saying that no kind of extortion will be tolerated in any sector including transportation of goods. Strict action will be taken against all forms of extortion.

In this regard, he emphasized on market monitoring and smooth movement of cargo vehicles.
He said that everyone should be careful so that no one can create any issue in front of Ramzan and Eid so that law and order deteriorates.
He said that the officials should be vigilant so that no vested interests can destroy communal harmony or cause untoward incidents through rumors and misinformation in the cyber world.
The IGP directed the highway police, district police and all the concerned police units to make preparations from now to make the movement of people home-bound on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr smooth. The IGP has also directed the highway police to take measures to prevent passengers from being transported on the roof of buses or trucks.
The IGP said that in addition to performing regular duties during Ramadan, one should be especially alert and vigilant during Iftar, Tarabi and Sehri.
The IGP directed the industrial police to be active to ensure that no problems arise with the workers of the garment industry.
