Army Chief General Shafiuddin Ahmed went to Qatar to attend the Doha International Maritime Defense Exhibition and Conference.
The Inter-Services Public Relations Department (ISPR) said in a press release that he left Dhaka for Qatar on an official visit on Sunday (March 3).
According to ISPR, Army Chief General Shafiuddin Ahmed left Dhaka for Qatar on an official visit on Sunday. During his visit, he will participate in the Doha International Maritime Defense Exhibition and Conference (DIMDX-2024) to be held in Qatar’s capital, Doha, from March 4 to March 5.
Besides, the Chief of Army Staff will participate in bilateral meetings with the Chief of Staff of the Qatar Armed Forces and high-ranking military officers from various countries.
The main objective of this conference is to create an environment of mutual trust through the development of relations between the respective land forces, develop professional relations, strengthen the regional security system, deal with conflict issues, provide joint training, and adopt a long-term plan for the modernization of the land forces.
After the conference, the army chief will return to the country on March 6.
