Famous Hollywood comedian, writer Richard Lewis has died. Lewis died last Tuesday night at his home in Los Angeles, USA. He was 76 years old at the time of his death. Lewis reportedly died of a heart attack. This news has been confirmed by the American film media Variety. Richard Lewis rose to the peak of popularity of dark comedy in the eighties. He was an actor, writer and stand-up comedian. Richard Lewis made his screen debut in 1974 with ‘The Tonight Show’. Not only that, he rose to the top of popularity with television shows ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’, ‘Anything But Love’ etc. Apart from this, Lewis also proved his skills in the documentary ‘The Great Buster: A Celebration’. This comedian has also acted in various films including ‘The Wrong Guys’, ‘Once Upon a Crime’, ‘Robinhood: Man in Tights’, ‘The Evaluator’. Incidentally, Richard Lewis was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in April 2023. He underwent four consecutive surgeries on his back and shoulders. After that he announced his retirement from comedy.
