India’s renowned ghazal artist Pankaj Udas passed away on Monday (February 26). He breathed his last at the age of 72 at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. He started singing at the age of seven. At first he sang only as a hobby. This musician has sung more than 700 songs so far. Pankaj Udas started his career with just 51 rupees.
According to Indian media sources, Pankaj Udas was the owner of property worth more than 25 crore rupees.
His contribution to Hindi cinema in India cannot be forgotten. Be it live performances or songs from albums or films, he enthralled the audience in the eighties and nineties.
