The investigation committee of the Directorate of Health Education has summoned the student Humaira Islam Choya, who was accused of tearing the OMR sheet even though she did not cheat in the medical admission test. The committee formed on the basis of his complaint about this incident has called him through a letter to know about that time. It has been said that the committee formed to investigate the allegation of touching the student Humaira Islam in the MBBS admission test in the academic year 2023-2024 will conduct the investigation on February 13 at 12 noon. In view of the complaint, you are requested to appear at the Principal’s office, Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College, Sherebangla Nagar, Dhaka-1207, along with appropriate information and evidence.
Earlier, the results of the medical entrance exam were released on February 11 afternoon. The affected examinee Humaira Islam and her family filed a complaint with the Health Department after the examination results were published. Meanwhile, an unpleasant situation arose with the officials of the health department of his relatives.
According to the student and her family, the center of a female student in the medical entrance examination held on February 9 was the Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University Center (Sheikh Kamal Bhavan, 8th floor) in the capital. Suspecting examination malpractice, an invigilator tore up the OMR sheets of three students including the student. Later the observer realizes his mistake and gives new OMR sheet. But there were only five minutes left for the exam. The invigilator did not extend the examination time for them despite repeated requests. At that time, the relatives of the student had an argument with the officials of the department. Later, the student submitted a written complaint to the Director General of the Department of Health Education.
In this regard, the victim Humaira said, “My dream is to become a doctor.” My dream has been shattered. He (observer) took away my ledger. I want justice.
Humaira’s father could not accept such a tragic situation of breaking his child’s dream. He said in a tearful voice, everyone begged for my daughter’s life. My daughter is a second time examinee. My daughter studied with the dream of becoming a doctor. He took the exam for the second time because he did not get a chance the first time. But my dream was shattered.
Meanwhile, the health department assured to investigate the matter. They also assured to take measures to ensure that the life of the student is not damaged if the allegations are found to be true.
