Cutter master Mustafizur Rahman has returned to the country. The Tiger pacer arrived in Dhaka from India on an evening flight on Tuesday (April 2).
According to BCB sources, Mustafizur Rahman has returned to the country on an urgent basis to complete the visa process for the upcoming T20 World Cup venue, the United States. If everything goes well, the left-arm pacer of the national team will join the franchise team before the next match of Chennai Super Kings in IPL.
BCB cricket operations in-charge Shahriar Nafis said, “On Thursday, all possible cricketers in the squad (Bangladesh) will have to be there for visa work.”
The upcoming T20 World Cup will be held in America and West Indies. The cricketers in the Bangladesh team’s potential squad will undergo biometrics on Thursday to get visas for these two countries. Mustafiz will definitely be in that list.
Note that Chennai Super Kings will play their fourth match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 5 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium. The franchise will definitely want to get Mustafiz in that match as well. Because this tiger pacer played a role in winning the first two matches for them.
In the opening match of the ongoing IPL, Phiz became the man of the match with 4 wickets for 29 runs. Mostafiz who took 7 wickets in 3 matches is the highest wicket taker in IPL so far
