Prime Minister mourns passing of two leading artists of Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra

July 14, 2023 (BSS) in Dhaka Today, Bulbul Mahalanobis, a brave independence warrior, and renowned vocalist from the Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra passed away. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed her deep shock and sadness over his passing.

“Bulbul Mahalanobis was simultaneously a poet, author, singer, recitalist, actor, and presenter of art-literary-cultural programs at the television and radio,” the statement of condolence read. She was a significant figure in the cultural sphere.”

“The cultural sphere has suffered an irreversible loss with Bubul’s passing. The renowned artist will continue to exist among her compatriots through her creations,” she said.

The Premier also expressed his sincere condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the deceased person’s soul to rest in peace forever.

She said Bulbul Mahalanobis was one of the pioneers in the cultural arena.

“With Bulbul’s death the cultural arena has incurred an irreparable loss. The famous artist will remain alive to the countrymen with her works” she continued.

The premier prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

 

The famous artist likewise served Rabindra Foundation as Broad Secretary and was endowed with significant obligations in numerous social and social associations like Jatiya Kobita Porishad, Kochikachar Mela, Udichi, Areas’ Officer Discussion and Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra.

Bulbul died at her Dhaka home around 2am today because of advanced age confusions. 70 years old.
