In view of the conflict inside Myanmar, due to security reasons, the administration has announced an indefinite suspension of all tourist ships on the Teknaf-Saint Martin sea route in Cox’s Bazar near the border from February 10. On Wednesday, the Director General of BGB, while talking to the media workers after visiting the border area, said that measures will be taken after reviewing the border situation in response to a question about the safety of tourists traveling on ships bound for St. Martin.This information was confirmed by the UNO of Teknaf at 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday (February 7). Adnan Chowdhury. He said that this decision was made after a meeting with the concerned officials at the district administration office in the evening. The upazila executive officer said that a meeting was held with the officials of the border law enforcement agencies along with the district administration regarding the unstable situation arising on the Bangladesh-Myanmar border. Due to security reasons, all tourist vessels on the Teknaf-Saint Martin route will be closed for an indefinite period from February 10 until further notice.
