Mithun Chakraborty was seriously ill and admitted to the hospital. He is currently undergoing treatment in a private hospital near the Salt Lake Bypass. Mithun is said to have suffered a brain stroke. Mithun was busy shooting for the movie ‘Shastri’ on Saturday (February 10). He suddenly felt ill on the floor during the shooting. After sitting there, the actor was immediately taken to the hospital.
According to hospital sources, Indian media reported that Mithun suffered a brain stroke. An MRI has already been done on this actor. A special team has also been formed for his treatment. Doctors have also kept him under observation.
Mithun is receiving the ‘Padma Bhushan’ medal from the Government of India. Veteran Marathi filmmaker Dattatroy Ambadas Mayalu, aka Rajdatta, legendary music composer Pyarelal Sharma, and renowned musician Usha Uthup also feature in the list along with Mithun. Incidentally, actor Soham Chakraborty is in the production of the movie ‘Shastri’ starring and produced by Mithun. And in this movie, the duo of Mithun and Debashree Roy will be seen together on screen after 16 years. Pathikrit Bose is building it. The movie is scheduled to be released during this year’s Puja.
