Oppo has said that the Oppo Watch X will go on sale on February 29 on Twitter and X. The wristwatch is exactly like the OnePlus Watch 2 that we have already seen, down to the peculiar placement of the buttons on the right side and the style of the band. Naturally, this makes sense given that Oppo and OnePlus have recently shared hardware designs much more closely (just take a look at the Oppo Find N3 and OnePlus Open).
The fact that Oppo explicitly states that Wear OS powers this new wristwatch is what makes this announcement so important.
The teaser graphic displays the “Wear OS by Google” logo along with a footnote that adds further details about the minimum requirement for Android 8.0. It’s fairly obvious.
