Health Minister Dr. Samant Lal Sen said that the Prime Minister has given me the responsibility of the Health Ministry to serve the people. I am not a political leader, nor have I elected. I will work impartially and fearlessly in the service of people.
He said these things in an exchange of views with district and divisional level doctors, nurses and officials under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare at Cox’s Bazar Medical College Auditorium on Saturday afternoon.
At this time, the health minister gave directions on various issues in improving the quality of health care in the district. He urged everyone to perform their duties properly in their respective workplaces to face the challenges of the health and family planning department of the district.
In the meeting, MP of Cox’s Bazar-3 Constituency and Whip of Jatiya Sangsad Saimum Sarwar Kamal presented the demands of the district residents for improving the quality of medical services and medical education.
It should be noted that the Health Minister is on a visit to Cox’s Bazar district since February 15. On the last day of the visit, he visited Ukhia Upazila Health Complex on Saturday, talked to the emergency department, outdoor and indoor patients and inquired about their treatment
