A press release on dengue sent by the Department of Health on Monday (February 26) said that a total of 65 dengue patients are currently under treatment in various public and private hospitals in the country. Among them, 31 dengue patients are currently admitted in public and private hospitals in Dhaka and 34 in various hospitals in other departments. Besides, 14 people died and 11,000 people were infected with dengue last month.
According to the information provided by the department, from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2023, a total of 321,179 people were admitted to dengue in various hospitals in the country this year. Among them, 1 lakh 10 thousand 8 people were infected in Dhaka City, and 2 lakh 11 thousand 171 people got treatment outside Dhaka. And in that year, a total of 3 lakh 18 thousand 749 people got leave from the hospital.
