The four-day Deputy Commissioner (DC) conference began on Monday (March 4) as the second day.
There are 356 proposals on the agenda of this year’s conference.
Land management, the improvement of the law and order situation, and strengthening the activities of local government institutions will be important in the discussion.
The conference started at around 9:30 a.m.
on Monday at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital. In today’s first part of the agenda, the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and the Ministry of Culture will participate in the meeting.
Then the Finance Department, Internal Resources Department, Financial Institutions Department, Financial Resources Department, Implementation Testing and Evaluation Department, Statistics and Information Management Department, and Planning Department will hold the session.
Besides, in the next step, the Ministry of Food, the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Industry, and the Ministry of Commerce will participate in the discussion.
It is known that 30 conferences will be held during this four-day conference. At the same time, about 356 proposals have been submitted to the cabinet department for 56 ministries,
departments, offices, and organizations.
The received proposals have been prioritized to increase public services, reduce public suffering, build roads and bridges, develop tourism, amend laws or regulations, and protect the public interest.
A large number of these 22 proposals have come from the Department of Road Transport and Highways. Last year too, DCs sent around twenty and fifty proposals.
For the first time in this year’s DC Conference, former Cabinet Secretaries will present their experience to the Divisional Commissioners and DCs and give necessary advice.
