Amar Ekushe Book Fair is ending today Saturday. On the concluding day, the fair will start at 11 am and will continue till 9 pm.
The closing ceremony of Amar Ekushey Book Fair will start at 5 pm. Chittaranjan Saha Memorial Award, Munir Chowdhury Memorial Award, Roknuzzaman Khan Dadabhai Memorial Award and Artist Qayyum Chowdhury Memorial Award will be presented on the occasion.
Prime Minister’s advisor on education and culture will be present as the chief guest. Kamal Abdul Nasser Chowdhury. Culture Secretary Khalil Ahmed will be present as a special guest. The president of Bangla Academy, novelist Selina Hossain, will preside.
Director General of Bangla Academy Kavi Muhammad Nurul Huda will deliver the welcome address on the occasion. The report will be presented by the member secretary of ‘Amar Ekushey Book Fair 2024’. KM Mujahidul Islam.
Meanwhile, 219 new books arrived on the 30th day of the Amar Ekushe Book Fair on Friday. Among them 90 poetry books, 35 story books, 25 novels, 5 poetry books, 4 history books, 8 other books
