14 officers have been promoted to the post of Additional Inspector General of Police. Among them, 4 officers have been promoted to regular promotion and 10 officers have been promoted to supernumerary.
This information was given in a separate notification signed by Deputy Secretary Mahbubur Rahman Sheikh on the order of the President on Sunday.
It said that as part of regular promotion, four persons have been promoted from Deputy Inspector General to Additional Inspector General. These officers are – Khandkar Lutfur Kabir and Tawfiq Mahmud Chowdhury of Police Headquarters, Abdul Alim Mahmud of ATU and Masudur Rahman Bhuiyan of Highway Police.
Apart from this, those promoted to Super Numerary are – AKM Shahidur Rahman and Bashir Ahmed of Police Telecom, Mainul Islam of Police Training Driving School, Golam Kibria of Special Security and Protection Battalion, Chittagong Metropolitan Police Commissioner Krishna Pad Roy, Kusum Dewan of CID, Police SadarAnwar Hossain of the office, AKM Hafiz Akhter of Dhaka Metropolitan Police and Dr.b. Mahid Uddin and Abdul Baten of Rangpur Range.
